Results of the 5th International Conference of Veterinary Students

All members of our team in the Scientific Society of Veterinary Students- WULS SGGW hope that last weekend was a pleasant experience and an opportunity to form new friendships for all our guests and participants. FARM ANIMALS SESSION
1st prize: MaryAnne Sciberras, M. Pipova  (Kosice, Slovakia) for “Resistance of E.coli isolates from broiler chickens to selected antibiotics”
Honours: Dominika Sobucka, prof. T. Stefaniak (Wroclaw, Poland) for “The utilization of blood immunoglobulin and acute phase proteins measurement in the monitoring of health of beef calves in extensive livestock production”
Honours: Aleksandra Głowacka, M. Niculae for “Synergistic efficacy of herbal extracts and antibiotics combinations against clinical strain of Escherichia coli isolated from bovine”
Special award funded by Polish Equestrian Association: Veronika Gladyshko, L. Kladnytska (Kiev, Ukraine) for “An influence of autonomic nervous system on behavioral reactions of the horses during trainings in equestrian sport”

PRECLINICAL SCIENCES SESSION

Special screening of ‘Stroop – journey into the rhino horn war’

This Friday (10th May 2019) at 5pm in building 24, aula 1,  a 1st year veterinary student with lots of experience, Axel Tarifa will introduce us to the subject of poaching in Africa before special screening of a documentary movie about illegal hunting for rhinos in Africa.
